The Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic
Studies and its Judaica Resource Center are located at 2311 Faculty
Administration Building, 656 W. Kirby, on the Wayne State campus. The
JRC boasts an impressive array
of books, journals, and interactive media in the field of Jewish Studies.
Among the books available are a complete set of the Encyclopedia
Judaica, Hebrew and Yiddish dictionaries, and works of invited
speakers published by the Wayne State Press. Included among the software
items are a Biblical concordance, a searchable program of the Soncino
Talmud, Chaim Nachman Bialik's Book of Legends, and a Hebrew word
processing program. The Center's houses the Dr. Erwin S. Loeffler Jewish
Heritage Video Collection with more than 100 Jewish-themed videotapes and DVDs.
The Center is
open during regular office hours (9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) Monday-Thursday and
(9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.. on Friday). Campus and community members are cordially
invited to come to do research, to participate in seminars, or simply to
read and relax in this unique setting. You may access the Center by

If you would like
to help build the Judaica Resource Center's collection, the Cohn-Haddow Center
is accepting tax-deductible contributions of at least $36. The names of donors
of at least $36 will
be inscribed on a special plate inserted in the materials. In addition,
donors of $200 may have their names inscribed on a plaque prominently
displayed in the Resource Center. Any of these gifts may be made in the name
of the donor or in memory or in honor of dear friends or relatives. For
